Hello Kids,

You must do a Christmas card with the following:
1. letter size
2. Must have  a written message
3. Do not do it on a piece of paper. You can do it with cardboard, foami, etc.
Delivery Date: December 7th.

This will count for your written December's exam.

NOVEMBER'S GRAMMAR AND LISTENING EXAM

Hello Kids,

November's exam is on Thursday 26th. Here are the topics for the exams:

1st grade: Verbs, sentences, possessives, possessive adjectives, demostrative adjectives, countable and uncountable nouns.

2nd grade: Verbs, have to / don´t have to, countable nouns (a, an, some, any, much, many).

3rd grade: 1st conditional, will / might, might not / if, unless, present perfect.

I hope you are enjoying your long weekend.  Remember that the speaking exam is on Friday November 20th. It will be about your "Thanksgiving day" investigation. On Thursday you can bring the material for doing your Thanksgiving cardboard in class.   Also we will study the following topics during the week:

NOVEMBER'S WRITING EXAM

Hello Kids,

During this week we will study the following:

1st grade: Possessives and possessive adjectives, Reading and listening comprehension.
2nd grade: Vocabulary, have to - don't have to, listening comprehension. On Friday we'll work with tablets, don't forget to bring them.

3rd grade: 1st conditional, Reading and listening comprehension. On Friday we'll work with tablets, don't forget to bring them.

ALL GROUPS:  On Monday you'll listen to  a presentation about Ireland. The next day, Tuesday 10th, you'll have your written November's  exam  about this presentation: What do you like?  Why?, What did you learn?. So you'd better pay attention to this lecture.

AVISO IMPORTANTE

A todos los alumnos del ISBF:

Podrán subir la calificación de la asignatura que ustedes elijan, el modo de hacerlo es leer el capítulo de un libro, un cuento, un artículo, de carácter científico y a partir de ello elaborar un resumen o ensayo a mano, también pueden ver una película y elaborar un guión.

Todo lo anterior con temas enfocados a la Ciencia y Tecnología.

Éste trabajo, de una cuartilla mínimo, deberá ser entregado (con buena presentación) al profesor de la asignatura en la que quieran mejorar, para hacerlo válido deberá tener la FIRMA de sus padres de familia.

Lo anterior se realizará con la finalidad de fomentar el hábito de lectura y de apoyarlos en sus calificaciones.

La lectura puede ser elegida por ustedes o por sus papás.

En el trabajo incluyan la leyenda "Trabajo realizado para mejorar la calificación de __________" (Anotan el nombre de la asignatura).

No olviden escribir su nombre, grupo y fecha.

HALLOWEEN - DAY OF THE DEAD CELEBRATION

Hello Kids,

I hope all who went to Rancho Aventura had had a great time. 
During this week ALL groups will do the listening exam and practise exercises.  Don't forget that the Day of the Dead celebration is on Thursaday 29th.  The ones that haven't brought your cardboard for this celebration must bring it no later than Tuesday 27th.

Hello Kids,

October's exam is on Thursday, October 22nd. Here are the topics:

1st grade: Simple present and short answers
2nd grade: Past tense
3rd grade: Comparative and superlative

All groups:  The exam also will have Reading comprehension, listening and writing.
The writing exam will be on Wednesday 21st. On the days before the exam we will practise gramar and a new vocabulary which you´ll need to study for the Reading exam.

A todos los grupos: El examen además de gramática, consta de lectura de comprensión, escuchar y comprender y escritura. El examen de escritura lo realizaremos el miércoles 21. Los días previos al examen, practicaremos los temas de gramática y veremos un nuevo vocabulario que deberán estudiar para el examen de lectura.

1st grade: On Monday you will finish your investigations about Halloween and Day of the Dead.
                 On Tuesday you will do a presentation about your investigations.  On the following days
                 we will study present simple. On Friday you'll need your tablets, don't forget to bring them

2nd grade: On Monday you will finish  your investigations, also we'll study simple past regular and
                  irregular verbs. On Friday you'll present your investigations about Halloween and The
                  Day of the Dead. The ones that read The Pearl must deliver your book report on Friday
                  no more than 2 pages hand-written.

3rd grade: We will practise comparative and superlative. On Wednesday you'll present your
                 investigations done last week. On Friday you'll need to bring your tablets.

Realizaremos lecturas adicionales en clase para quienes no están leyendo éste libro.

3er grado: El miércoles presentarán sus investigaciones realizadas la semana pasada, El viernes 16 trabajaremos con las tablets, no olviden traerlas.
